What we do
A conduit/channel of the Ontario Ministry of Education, the Ontario Business Education Partnership (OBEP) is a catalyst for career exploration and workforce development, through: partnerships (with industry associations and educators); community-based career insight programming such as career fairs, co-op placements; and promotion (advocacy on key issues and opportunities for workforce development in Ontario).

Our mission to advance business-education co-operation in support of workforce and economic development is accomplished by:

we focus on relationship-building, awareness and sharing of best practices, which we accomplish by:

Building strong relationships between industry and educators

Supporting experiential learning for students
Informing industry about government programs and informing policy development with industry/employer/educator insights
Reporting outcomes at the provincial level

The target audience
Three target audiences: Government Partners; Industry Partners; Education Partners

Commonality is that all have an interest in workforce development in Ontario, via experiential learning or career exploration opportunities for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 (end of high school)
Government - primarily the provincial Ministry of Education but also Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Culture

Industry Associations such as Insurance Institute of Canada ; Civil Construction Careers Canada; Canadian Society of Club Managers; Retail Council of Canada; Science and Technology Network; MyCharityConnects

We like these fonts, colors and style
Style: Creative yet clear and professional; appropriate for use on new 2.0 site under development as well as paper-based marketing material

Font: Alternative/new classics that represent 2.0; nothing particularly techno or childish/goofy

Colours: A current palette that will take our organization forward

Ours should stand out for its professionalism, clarity and design.

In some designs we would like to see a stylized Ontario trillium flower to create a visual connection to our government supporters/partners.

Our tagline - Connections that work - was chosen because "connecting" is the focus of what we do; and "work" , from the perspective of workforce development by providing insight into career opportunities via experiential learning while still in school, is the purpose of what we do.

Note that while connections/relationship-building is the focus of our work, we do not want to see clip-art style images of networking etc.
