Name On Logo: MASTER OF THE HOUSE
Our Slogan
The High School Performing Arts Scholarship Showcase
What we do
This event will showcase abridged musical theatre productions performed by local Las Vegas high schools all competing for scholarship funds for their school's performing arts program. The performances will be professionally adjudicated over one weekend by a panel of qualified judges and the top 3 schools will be awarded scholarships with the top honor of "MASTER OF THE HOUSE" going to the group that earns the highest score. It's fast-paced, round-robin musical theatre in a competitive format with a slight game-show-like edge.
Industry: Entertainment
Things to communicate through the design
1. Musical Theatre / Broadway
2. Competing Ensemble of Student Actors / ONE ultimate winning team
3. Exciting / Game-Show-Like / Fun
The target audience
We hope to attract THREE types of demographics:
1.) THE THEATRE-GOING LAS VEGAS COMMUNITY. (One that would like to see an evening of musical theatre.) Essentially, ticket-buying patrons of the arts. This is a wide-demographic, hopefully appealing to all ages, but mostly those who like traditional theatre, those who like new and exciting contemporary theatre, and those that like game/reality shows.
2.) HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE STUDENTS.(Ages 12 thru 18 years old.) Students who are interested in performing an abridged version of their school's musical for a chance to win a scholarship.
3.) HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA TEACHER / HIGH SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR. One who might be interested in enrolling their student drama troupe in the competition for a chance to win a scholarship.
Think: Compelling, Competitive, Broadway...and FUN!
We like these fonts, colors and style
- Primary Colors: Royal Blue, Yellow and Gold.
- I love gradients.
- No Script of Handwriting Fonts.
- The title of MASTER OF THE HOUSE is originally from a song title from the Broadway musical masterpiece Les Miserables. And while we are trying to tip our hat to musicals of all shapes and sizes...we're not necessarily interested in doing a Les Mis spin-off.
- The title MASTER OF THE HOUSE should be in all caps, and should convey the feeling of something time-sensitive. (Like...musical theatre if performed in a pressure-cooker!)
- I'm not against using drama masks....but we're looking for something having to do with an ENSEMBLE of high school-aged students competing for a scholarship....rather than a generic Theatre/Drama concept.
- Keep kinda the same feel as the TV game-show "WIPEOUT" logo.
- Think fun, adventurous...but still BROADWAY MUSICAL THEATRE.
- This should be "in your face" beckoning the viewer to either PARTICIPATE in the showcase...or come and WATCH this exciting evening of competitive theatre.
We'd like a handful of VARIATIONS of the logo as well. We're looking for something to go on flyers, posters, mailers, tshirts, billboards, letterhead, ampersand, TV/internet ads, etc.
We like a few variations with JUST the "MASTER OF THE HOUSE" title....and others with the primary MASTER OF THE HOUSE and a secondary line of "The High School Performing Arts Scholarship Showcase."
Full color versions, variations of that full-color version, black and white version, greyscale version, etc.
