What we do
A logo is needed for a resource that defines the function of all proteins in all organisms. The resource is called Gene Ontology. An ontology is like a highly defined dictionary with all the terms being interconnected. The GO is used by scientist and educators, and anyone that wants to understand what genes do.

we are in the process or redesigning our web sites. The Gene Ontology doesn't currently have a logo. You can see what we do have at
[Login to view URL] That page is the entry into a particular tool. The logo usage would be much more than just that tool. Searching for images via Google will give you many images of graphs, this is how the GO is used. However, it would be interesting to see that represent concept of GO being an information store and descriptive vocabulary for biology.
