What we do
ThemisData provides judgment creditors with information (public and private) regarding the physical location and financial condition of their judgment debtor(s).
Civil courts award thousands of dollars in judgments every day but offer no assistance with the collection and enforcement process. Most judgment creditors do not have the time, knowledge or resources to track down their debtors – one of the primary reasons that (approximately) 80% of civil judgments are never satisfied. Our research and information services are a vital link for creditors to actually collect their judgment.
Industry: Legal
Things to communicate through the design
1. Knowledgeable and resourceful (we have the information you need)
2. Professional (legal/information services)
3. Themis is an ancient Greek titaness (divine law)
The target audience
Niche market of individuals and small businesses that have court-awarded judgments (usually small claims from 1k - 10k). These persons have the legal right to obtain public and private information on their debtor but usually lack the time, desire, knowledge or resources to do it themselves. They are not attorneys or legal "experts" but they have experienced the legal process of obtaining a judgment. Demographics can vary greatly but most are 30-45 years old, both sexes, working class and educated. These are "everyday" people who....
~hired a landscaper to do their yard and it didn't get done.
~carpet cleaning company that didn't get paid for their work.
~homeowner's floor ruined by the condo association sprinklers.
~landlord had the apartment destroyed by tenants.
We like these fonts, colors and style
1. I would like to see a picture/image logo with the words to the right.
2. Image: I’m not committed to anything and would love to see your ideas however… Themis is often depicted “blinded” with a sword and scales – but that can be a little too complex or “busy” for my tastes. I want a *relatively* simple logo but wouldn’t mind if it had a little depth or contour – especially for the web. Also, I really like the idea of a Greek column being “pieced together” with data fragments (think typical data logo) in layers but not sure what if it would come out clean.
3. Words: THEMIS should be “tight” but still separated from DATA with a space so that it is NOT to be misread as "THE—MIS…". I visualize ‘THEMIS’ in caps and ‘data’ in lowercase with each word a different color.
4. Colors: I really like the royal blue and graphite/dark silver color combination.
5. Font should be a “typical” legal style.
Hope that helps; wanna give as much insight as possible without restraining your artistic vision!
