What we do
Nonprofit organization working with children, teens and families experiencing grief, loss and change due to death, illness, divorce, abandonment, incarceration, military service, etc., - basically learning how to successfully cope and navigate major changes that happen in life and being with others who are experiencing the same thing. Services are primarily groups in the schools utilizing a peer support/education group model using art projects, writing, music and yoga and mindfulness. Organization will also include support via online website/blog written by those who have walked the walk.
Industry: Non-Profit

Things to communicate through the design

3. we all experience change, loss

The target audience

Southeastern Wisconsin

We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo will set the tone for the organization and the website. Since "grief" is a heavy topic and people do not like to talk about it and believe children/teens are just "fine" I would like the design to be inviting and somewhat colorful - not circus colorful but colors that symbolize LIFE - blue skies, sun, green grass, mountains, water colorful - that there is light even in the midst of darkness, etc., I like the colors yellow, green and blue BUT not limited to those. Do not want it to be child-like - appeal to teens as well as young adults/college, young parents.
There are over 400 centers for grieving children nationwide - they mostly deal with death - which was the mission of the last organization I founded and recently stepped down as CEO. In this nonprofit the mission is expanded to include all kinds of losses. examples of bright, inviting websites are: [Login to view URL] and [Login to view URL] [Login to view URL]
i am sure there are many more. I do not think the word PROJECT needs to be in the logo - not sure if that is necessary??
