What we do
I am a blog writer who is also a historical restoration expert. My blog tries to connect, engage, entertain, and teach owners or fans of historic homes all about their homes. We features lots of How To articles, fun editorials, history pieces, "save this old house" pieces, and various home improvement tips specifically related to the repair and preservation of old homes.

Owners or fans of historic homes, middle to upper income, professionals, DIYers, creative reuse, This Old House fans but a bit edgier,
We like these fonts, colors and style
I don't have any specifics to show, but I like colors that are reminiscent of The Craftsman Bungalows of 1900-1930. Vibrant earth tones. dark aged wood, patinated metal, something that says vintage but not salvage. There might be some features that are old and ornate like Victorian architecture possibly, but not too flowery and frilling. Anything from the Arts & Crafts movement of the 1910-1920 would fit very well.

We restarted the contest because while we had some great logos nothing is really hitting the mark for us. It is a tough niche to hit. We have a tag line to incorporate now "Old Homes & True Craftsmanship"
What We Need:
A simple clean design that can be used as a horizontal header that contains a vintage feel and vintage looking bug. The bug should be something that can be easily used as an icon or favicon.
