What we do
Medical billing company for physicians. Smaller boutique service provider- everything is customized to fit customer needs. Our emphasis is recovering a pre-calculated maximum (versus promising ‘to recover the most’) at less cost and demonstrating how it is done. Everybody else states “we will fight for your money” (without indication of how they do it) with a ‘trust us’ subtext backed up by a few general testimonials.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Sophistication (including electronic capabilities)
2. Size and Scale- small business appearing large and well-resourced
3. Medical (the predominant color is always blue w/white background) Necessary but boring

The target audience
Physicians and their business administrators. Providers can be hospital-based (radiologists, emergency medicine, anesthesiologists, pathologists) or “free-standing” clinics (not under a hospital roof) from 1 to 30 physicians.

I am small player in a very competitive market that includes billing-from-your home to national technology-driven, well-resourced companies to lower-cost offshore web-based claims processors. Medical billing is largely sold word of mouth peer-to-peer- very much a comfort enterprise. Physicians are easily influenced by their peers, and very few have the financial sophistication to objectively evaluate the merits of one billing company to another. Smaller medical practices are acutely price-sensitive and larger are more technology-driven. I am the only in this market (Chicago) to be cold-call marketing via phone referring to website [Login to view URL] (which will be changed to a simpler [Login to view URL]).

Logo must be very rich in appearance, sophisticated-and memorable- need a ‘wow’ factor that is eye-catching. Website [Login to view URL] emphasizes innovation, although not to the degree of other larger more well-resourced medical billing companies.

Billing business is now electronic and high-tech. Younger physicians beginning or transitioning to self-employment will be attracted to more technological capabilities. Although I don’t possess as other competitors, nonetheless must project an equivalent capability. Traditional and expected will be very high level of customer service - the processing of their receivables, the lifeblood of their medical practice- is what we control.
