ClearEdge is an experienced software engineering firm focusing on providing "Distributed Data Technology" (e.g., cloud computing, verylarge database technology) solutions to the U.S. Intelligence Community in the way of full system design and integration. The target audience
Our target audience is primarily the Intelligence Community (Department of Defense), however, we have an interest in other U.S. government agencies.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Actual name is "ClearEdge IT Solutions". Would like "ClearEdge" to stand out and "IT Solutions" to appear secondary (may not be used at all).
Most of our competitors use a red and blue in their logos to represent their support to the U.S. government. We do not want those colors -- we want to stand out as a different kind of company. We are high tech and modern, yet professional and have been working with the government for a very long time. Currently, we use a dark green to indicate growth and success. Green is still a good choice, but the shade may not be as modern as it could be. We find that light green is modern, but too juvenile and commercial though.
We have employed several different designers who have all used the capital letters of ClearEdge in a graphic design. We are not interested in using acronyms and would prefer that the name be used at all times. The two words that make up the name should not be separated.
We have seen designs that utilize a diamond or triangle shape to literally represent 'clear' and 'edge'. Concept is understood, but we are open to other ideas as well. The design we've seen and like the most utilizes a triangle shape to the left of the logo text. The triangle concept was good, but there was still something missing.
It is important that the logomark symbolize cloud computing/ development, although not literally (no clouds, please!).
We'd also like to symbolize the fusion of technology and skill, two things which really make up ClearEdge and distinguish us from our competitors. We have awesome talent who can deliver the goods!
