What we do
The mission of MBARI is to achieve and maintain a position as a world center for advanced research and education in ocean science and technology, and to do so through the development of better instruments, systems, and methods for scientific research in the deep waters of the ocean. MBARI emphasizes the peer relationship between engineers and scientists as a basic principle of its operation. All of the activities of MBARI must be characterized by excellence, innovation, and vision.

The target audience
The target audience would be science users and news organizations interested in preforming in situ long term ocean acidification experiments to get real answers regarding the issue.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I would like the logo to be independent of our home institution (www.mbari.org) but not so distant that we as the creator are lacking a connection entirely, so compatible colors or complimentary would be good. The user community will be setup separately with it's own hosting and network identity. Some images and concepts are available at:
