We like these fonts, colors and style
Look and Feel: My client is in need of a logo that will fit against a metallic / metal aesthetic website. Think Apple.com (grays, silver, bevels). I am the web designer and although we are beginning the comp phase of the project, through vetting of concepts, they are clear in the metallic aesthetic. This design takes a nod to Apple’s grey, slick, minimal LaF (Look and Feel) but that is simply one inspiration.

During our discussion around brand I felt strongly that the logo should not compete with the “metallic” Look and Feel of the site but should be clean and complimentary. Metallic on Metallic would lend itself to being
too industrial.

Here are some examples that I provided my client during the vetting phase:

“Metallic" aesthetic but with a minimal logo: [Login to view URL]

Competing in design but it works somehow in a literal sense: [Login to view URL]

Good use of dark Look and Feel with complimentary logo: [Login to view URL]

Bold colors are welcome too. In fact, I would personally like to see a few iterations in color of your logo. I will be creating a style-guide for my client and have not nailed the palette so variations would be a bonus.

While a stab at being literal may be applicable (e.g. Apple) I would not give any nods to a logo incorporating or using a pair of glasses. This, my friends, has been done, saturated, boring and too
literal. My client is leaning toward a text-based logo of their company name and brand: Optometric Insights. Of course, a literal translation is welcome if it is modern and fresh.

Our design will be used on
