If you check Tabgha in Wikipedia, you will see that Tabgha is the site of several churches a few km from Capernaum. It is by the Sea of Galilee and overlooking it is the Mount of Beatitudes.
Tabgha is the site where Christ, after preaching to a crowd, performed the miracle of multiplying fish and bread to feed all those present. It is also the site where after the crucifixion, the resurrected Christ returned to appear to his disciples and where he tasked Peter to lead his flock.
No need to show an English flag or suggest it is English language learning. Jesus as a teacher to the crowds would be fine.
The motto of Tabgha College is "From Knowledge to Wisdom Through Faith"
Please google 'Jesus I trust in You' for images that illustrate the beams of red, white and blue light emanating from the heart of Christ.
Try some designs in circular form showing the Sea of Galilee, a church or Christ by the shore, and the Mount of Beatitudes in the background.
For the designers:
Perhaps this will help. Try googling or do a wikipedia search for the Church of the Primacy in Tabgha, Galilee. You should find images of a stone church with a cross that is next to the Sea of Galilee.
Try imagining yourself in a boat in the Sea of Galilee. You are facing west. What do you see? You will see the blue waves of the Sea. On the shore, you will see a grey stone church with a cross. In the background, you will see the green rolling hills of the Mount of Beatitudes. Now imagine that is early evening and you can see the setting sun with its rays of light reaching down to illuminate the Church and that part of the shore next to the church. That is the scene I am trying to capture in my mind as I remember my trip to Tabgha. Perhaps just forget about the boat with Christ by the shore as that is probably too detailed.
So can you try and submit a few designs encompassing:
- circular design
- blue waves of the Sea of Galilee in the foreground
- gray stone church with a cross in the middle of the scene
- rolling green hillside of the Mount of Beatitudes in the background
- a setting sun in the background as well with its beams of lighting coming in a direction to shine/highlight the Church.
Thanks. Robin
