The target audience
Style setters involved in the home furnishings industry (designers, decorators), creative types, those seeking classic and unique items. People who prefer a relaxed but sophisticated and unfussy, uncluttered home. Ages 30ish ++, male and female. Educated, moderate to high income.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I've had successful logo contests here in the past and have learned to respect your work and creativity. I'd prefer to see your fresh ideas rather than pollute the process with my bad ones. I will give input as designs form with elements I like and don't like. One thing for sure... the "LLC" in the name should be present, but incidental and not distracting.
I'm not looking for kitchy, cutesy, girly and no cliche-type "antique store" stuff. Keeping the following definitions of "Dovetail" in mind may help.
Dovetail: (verb) 1) To fit skillfully to form a whole. 2) To join or fit together harmoniously
The logo should render as well in black on white as it would white on black. Color is fine, but it should be able to be easily reinterpreted to black/white or possibly grey scale. If color is used, think beach glass or softer color. Not primary colors.
Using a dove or doves either within the word or as an element with the word, is ok. But please make it something unique. I'll post urls of dove things that I like because of the design elements or fluidity of the image and examples of those I wouldn't consider for this project. If a bird is used, it can't be at all menacing or too "peaceful" looking. ie; no branches in it's mouth.
