What we do
Produces comedy stage hypnosis shows for entertainment and, in many cases, to help groups raise funds. Creates promotional material for groups to excite people to buy a ticket to come to the shows. Before submitting, the system is inserting backward slashes before all apostrophes and other punctuation. Not sure what is going on but the name of the show is Burney apostrophe s and the Hypno Stars.

The target audience
School fund-raising directors, corporate and other event planners, service groups, and, in some cases, comedy clubs. Also the audience will be people considering attending the shows and the fact that the audience members who volunteer to be in the show are "Burney's Hypno Stars", the actual stars of the stage show.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I would like to see two basic design styles- One which references the old Houdini-style show poster font styles (never dark or mystical) and then designs that are more fun and modern. Logo does not have to have an icon but not adverse to one if it fits the goal. One idea is to create a circle style with "Burney's Hypno Stars" type design in the middle and the slogan encircling it (Comedy Stage Hypnosis)- possibly with little stars separating the words in the slogan.
No icons please that conjure up visions on hypnotic stereotypes or anything that might scare a potential client. Examples would be the hypnotic spiral, anything suggesting mental control, anything suggesting something dark in nature. This should be very happy, exciting and uplifting in feel.
Design needs to be bold enough to easily readable at a distance (imagine a use on a poster promoting the show) and to even be able to be stitched out in embroidery if so needed.
The shows are very funny but also designed never to offend or embarrass either the participants, the audience and, especially, the person who booked the show.
