What we do
Ingram Micro's Venture Tech Network (VTN) has regional chapters located around the US and Canada. Each chapter is made up of technology companies that meet at least quarterly. My chapter is the Mid-Atlantic. i.e., Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, parts of New Jersey, West Virginia. We are planning to revise our existing logo and thought this would be a good group to reach out to.

The target audience
This logo is used on our on our clothing in our emails etc. It is viewed by all of the major technology companies like Hewlett Packard, IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, etc. as well as other chapters like Pacific West, New York, New England, etc.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Our exsiting logo is attached. We don't like it. Gray is used to identify the Mid-Atlantic chapter at conventions such as the lanyard used to hold our convention pass. I have also included the Venturetech Network logo.

I've learned that we're trying to get away from the gray laynard so having gray in the logo is not important.
3 days into the contest and I have not gotten any feedback on my logo so I am adding some info that I hope will help designers get started. Please feel free to ask questions to help direct my thinking. I am not very good at these things so I may have left too little info on my contest for people to get started with.
The VTN Mid-Atlantic Chapter is a group of technology companies who parter with each other to provide better service to our customer base.
The wave in the existing logo is nice but it doesn't really show much about our true value with is our strength as a group. I.e., sharing our expertise by partnering with each other.
The mid-atlantic region could show mountains, sea life like crabs or dolphin, beaches, The US Capitol maybe? Partnering could be people handshaking or relay baton. I don't really know how to design a logo. I hope this helps. Thank you all for any designs you put up.
