Hedman Counseling Logo Design Contest
Name On Logo: Hedman Counseling
Our Slogan
Helping connect the dots...
What we do
I am a psychotherapist working with adult men and women recovering from childhood spiritual, sexual, and physical abuse. I also work with clients struggling with sexual addiction/aversion, eating disorders, and grief/loss issues. I see clients in individual and group settings to assist with direction and recovery. I try to be a safe place for honesty, balance, compassion, trust, and integrity. "A place to heal from the guilt of what we've done, and the shame of what's been done to us."
Industry: Miscellaneous

Things to communicate through the design
1. Name of the organization
2. Safety, Trustworthiness
3. Connectedness, Hope

The target audience
Target audience is men and women between 24-55 who have broken hearts and lives and are looking for help in a safe, stable place. 80% of clients are women, but it needs to be fairly gender neutral. Socioeconomically they are upper middle class. Professionals and/or stay at home moms. College educated. Busy lives and are suddenly interupted with devistation that they can't handle on their own any more. People who have lived lives that looked good on the outside, but are disintegrating on the inside. People at the end of their rope, and often don't know why. Most are experiencing post traumatic stress and are 'dazed and confused'. What they thought was true has been deconstructed. I always say I'm the woman who provides 'emotional chemotherapy' to those with emotional and psychological cancer. They just can't do it on their own anymore.

We like these fonts, colors and style
I love the colors and textures on hedmancounseling.com. a little hip. I love the idea of connectedness, but more subtle representation; not obvious. My job is to help connect what feels disconnected so my clients can live in wholeness again. Hope and healing. It needs to be mostly gender neutral. I like something professional with a trendy, hip, spark to it. I tend to be drawn a little toward the vintage/retro flavor.
I would also LOVE to run into a logo that is way outside of what I was thinking, but is just perfect. I'm open. You're the professional. Excited to see what your creative minds come up with.

Our design will be used on

The line "Helping connect the dots..." Can include the ... or not. You can decide how it looks best.

There are two logos in the marketplace by Kit-eureka. They look like blocks that are coming from a distance and then gather together near the logo. It has that connectedness feeling. I like that idea...
