What we do
We are two Residential Real Estate agent working in San Diego, California with particular focus on the affluent coastal town of La Jolla, CA. We work with an educated and professional demographic and need something that is elegant, memorable, and reflects the fact that we're not stogie old ladies in the industry.
My business partner and I agree on the following:
- Our NAMES are our brand and should be easy to read in the logo - specially our first names. The names should appear with "Irene" first. Also, fonts should be altered to balance out the presence of the "Irene" vs the "Melanie". "Irene" is a bit overpowered by "Melanie" in current logo b/c of length of name and size of "M" vs. "I"
- The Slogan does NOT need to be incorporated
- We currently use a Nautilus Shell as the logo only b/c it was a compromise between a sea horse (we're not selling animals!) and an image of the fleur de lis (we're not French)! The Nautilus is a sea creature from this area and at least lives in a SHELL (aka its HOME).
- I'm looking for an altogether new logo...
or to make the current logo more interesting; less flat; and more like a logo and less like an intro-to-design project. The current one works, but can be a lot better. Another agent in town has the same shell as a logo, so we're open to change!

-- Luxury ($1million+) coastal property owners. Men; women; international clientele; professional
-- 30-40 year olds with young families.
-- Luxury (multi-million $ market) real estate agents from other markets who look to us to refer their clients.
We like these fonts, colors and style
contemporary blues and greens are lovely - and go w/ the coastal community.
red is great for print and advertising.
sans serifs are preferred, tho we're open to anything.

PLEASE VIEW THE EXISTING LOGO OF NAUTILUS SHELL. Start from there and make THAT logo more 3D, more fluid, more elegant. THANK YOU.
We like the square logo - w/ image and names contained in a square, rather than rectangular format.
Any way to mix shell and a home?
