ApparentPlan Logo Design Contest
Name On Logo: ApparentPlan
Our Slogan
Promoting Health and Security for Seniors
What we do
We provide a holistic approach which helps older adults and/or their caregivers access financial and support services. For example, we provide advocacy support for benefits (Medicare, Medicaid, housing & food benefits, etc.) and health promotion programming (tai chi for arthritis, chronic disease self-management, falls prevention, etc.).
Industry: Non-Profit

Things to communicate through the design
1. Advocating for Seniors
2. Supportive and caring organization
3. Professional, industry-leading staff

The target audience
- Seniors (55 years of age and older) and/or their family caregivers, especially those with specific health and/or financial issues.

- Individuals or organizations (for example churches, health providers, financial planners, etc.) who have clients who would benefit from these services.

We like these fonts, colors and style
I have been working on an idea which includes the profile of two seniors looking in the same direction comprising the p's in the word apparent. I have attached the palette of colors I like and have been working with, as well as an example of the idea using two of the colors. I'd like to see some alternatives using the profile outlines both as they are and filled in (as a silhouette) with letters as white space perhaps. One issue with the current design is that people don't always see the p's in the profiles. The fonts and specific colors I've been working with are included in one of the attachments. (NOTE: this attachment is for the logo of a sister organization whose name is ApparentCare.) The resulting design should be a vector graphic which scales to a variety of sizes for different uses. Also, I'm open to using other graphics for the profiles or other graphic images entirely, but I wanted to give you an idea of what I've been thinking up to this point.

Our design will be used on

Additional Info Added Feb 28, 2012
One of the things I do is teach tai chi to seniors. It's an accessible exercise form for anyone -- whether they be in a wheelchair, walk with a cane or in good health. I would like the logo to reflect that kind of positive energy.
