What we do
We are a family friendly site focused on community for all of the state of North Carolina in the United States. We will be full of interesting conversations as well as information given by members. We will be including stuff like shared pictures, advice, reviews of movies and restaurants, events, parks, and favorite places. We want to organize the site in three different areas that reflect how North Carolina is: Mountains, Piedmont (includes the capital city "Raleigh"), and Coastal. We want members to be able to talk both with those in their own area, and also with those in other areas of North Carolina.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Three distinct areas of North Carolina: Mountains, Piedmont (City/Raleigh), Coastal.
2. Community / Family
3. Key things the state has to offer (such as: barbeque, mountain scenery/waterfalls, lighthouses, wild ponies, largest frying pan, largest natural-habitat zoo)
The target audience
Men, women, and families who either live in North Carolina or are considering living there.
We like these fonts, colors and style
_Opt#1_: Image of the state of NC with elements of the three areas (Mountains, Piedmont, Coastal) sticking out of the image randomly but according to the areas of the state. I.E. Mountain area can have mountains, Piedmont area can have buildings, Coastal area can have lighthouses. Carolina Forums written underneath or placed in some attractive way near the image.
_Opt#2_: Focusing on the name of the forums, you can incorporate elements of the three areas (Mountains, Piedmont, Coastal) into the name such as changing letters of the word Carolina around to represent the three areas. I.E. CAROLINA could be more like C[mountain]RO[building in Raleigh][lighthouse with a light on]NA. Then Forums could be in the shape of the state of NC or be written over the state which would be in the background somehow (basically placed in an attractive way along with an image of the state of NC.
Of course, a lot of creativity and other ideas are accepted and welcomed. Those are a couple we had in mind that may work well with the theme of the forums.
