What We Do
Our Organization: The CITD provides import and export assistance services to Southern California's expanding businesses, to include trade leads, trade missions and trade show assistance.

Why We Need a Great Logo: For the first time, the CITD will be exhibiting at the world’s largest health and beauty cosmetic show, COSMOPROF Worldwide in Bologna, Italy. As our organization is affiliated with the State of California, we will be showcasing 11 California based, non-competing companies at the show, under one shared “California Pavilion” space. Curiously, COSMOPROF is in its 44th year of exposition, yet it is the first time a U.S. state will be exhibiting on its own amidst other countries. The overarching goal is to create an exhibit space, which captures the “California Lifestyle” idea, not exactly how it is seen by Californians, but instead, how California is perceived by others, especially globally. We will be creating a neutral space, so that each respective exhibiting brand can stand out amidst the neutral background created by the CITD. That said, the logo design will be a part of that space and likewise needs to attract the appropriate attention, but also have elements of neutrality.

Target Audience
-The show will house a global audience of buyers and distributors in the health and beauty industry. Last year, over 177,000 people were in attendance.

- These potential buyers are looking for innovation, the California attitude/lifestyle. Keep in mind, their time is limited as they walk the show, and thus are looking for attractiveness, creativity, and unique branding.

- The logo will be placed on all of our marketing material to include PR efforts, sponsorship material, design, etc.

The Logo:
The logo design should embody the California lifestyle and should actually say, “California: A State of Beauty.” The idea has a double meaning, as California does represent both natural beauty as a U.S. state and as the entertainment/beauty capital. In addition, the tagline gives the impression of being in a “state” that is, a “condition,” for example a state of happiness, excitement, or in this case, beauty.

Please Note: DO NOT include “CITD” anywhere on the logo. The only words on the logo should be “California: A State of Beauty” with your respective design.

The color scheme for the space is as follows on a CMYK format:
