What we do
We (www.aimsoftware.com) are one of the leading providers of customized data management solutions for financial markets
- AIM Software stands for high quality software for the financial industry
- we are looking for a new logo for our flagship product GAIN
- GAIN comes in different "flavors", i.e. sub products that should still use the same logo but different coloring and optionally also additional text written above or below the logo
Example: GAIN Corporate Actions
GAIN should be the logo and "Corporate Actions" should be pure text

We like these fonts, colors and style
We need a new logo for our software product GAIN. (The company is AIM Software but we do not want to change the company logo).
- even though our customers are banks please DO NOT use cash symbols or chart symbols
- Please also DO NOT use any disc or floppy symbols for software
- in fact we rather prefer that the word GAIN is the logo by itself (develop a typography for Gain)
- the logo should be rather 2D but you can (but not necessarily) use gradients
- the logo should be usable in an inverted (white on color) style, too
- the logo should well blend into our new upcoming webpage design (see attachment)
- there you will see 3 boxes where the current logo for GAIN is displayed but we would like to improve the appearance as described
- As mentioned we would like to use the logo in different colors according to the sub products that use the same logo but in a different color
- the logo could contain several color segments (e.g. the G of GAIN could be composed of 3 elements in different colors which represents the 3 sub products) where only one is active for a sub product
- since our software is modular this might be a good element for designing the logo
Please use 3 colors (you can re-use the ones we have on the attachment) that are in a good relation to each other and that can be used side by side

HINT: WE DEFINITELY DEVELOPED A PREFERENCE FOR THE NON CAPITAL VERSIONS OF THE LOGO. PLEASE FOCUS ON NO CAPITALS. i.e. only the G should be capital, the rest not
Please do not necessarily use blue as the base color since our company logo is blue already and they should be different
HINT: please focus on the suggestion of segments in the logo with different colors, i.e. the G of GAIN might be seen as a circle with 3 colored segments that can selectively be grayed out all but one
HINT 2: You can also use Gain and not just capital letters
Further ideas (please ALSO SEE attachments):
- replace the 'a' in GAIN by a Moebius band
- Use the G in a circle similar to the Copyright symbol
- replace the G by a twisted band that is looking 3D but that can also be used as 2D
- put a white G on a bevelled panel (rectangular but slightly rounded) that can be colored differently
