What we do
Glen Shields is a community youth soccer Club in Canada (Vaughan, Ontario just above Toronto) which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2012 (est.1982). In doing so they have changed the name to Glen Shields Futbol Club because the public is now accepting the 'Football' Terminolgy to be soccer as it has with TFC of the MLS.
The Club has a deep history of tradition by its success on the field achieved at all levels as well as being known by ALL for never having changed their unifom in as many years. The Club colours are and will remain Red & Black like that of AC Milan. The Club is expanding into the senior Division 2 professional men's league in 2012 (Below D1 MLS).
Sports, soccer in particular is very big in our City and to capture the attention of the market is critical especially when you have 3 other rival clubs within the same city. We have the best product but not the marketing strategy as of yet. The new logo is the start of many good things to come including a new clubhouse, a new turf field, new concessions etc...

The target audience
The target audience is players from 10 to 35 which will be the competitive stream leading to the Men's Pro Team being priority. Within the soccer community we want to present to them how they have evolved with the times but still be able to keep the tradition they are so proud of.

[Login to view URL] and will provide the creators the idea of the logo we have had since 1982. The Sun Devil is a logo we created back in 1997 as a mascot which is now being used for our recreational program for kids from 4-10 years of age
We're looking for a similiar style to our current competitive team logo or Top Flight Euro teams (such as Arsenal, Barcelona, Juventus).
We would like to keep the crest but open to altering it with the creative input to modernize it. We want to keep the Club Colours of Red & Black like AC Milan.
We need to incorporate a gold star in the crest.
We would like to keep the Red & Black Stripes within the crest somehow.
We would like to change the font of the lettering. In the future we would like to use the same font when creating something for the intials GFC as another marketing avenue for our products as we would like to expand our markting possibilities
