What we do
Nonprofit Know How provides expertise and support services for local nonprofit leaders to help their organizations achieve their missions more quickly. My pitch is that I can fill in the gaps knowledge-wise and resource-wise without them having to worry about adding staff or paying out big bucks in consulting fees.
Specialties include: strategic planning, communications, membership and leadership development, event planning.
Industry: Non-Profit
Things to communicate through the design
1. I build the Steamboat Springs community by connecting nonprofit leaders with the expertise they need.
2. I am professional, smart and approachable - not stuffy.
3. I help nonprofits achieve more and reach higher by working together.
The target audience
The audience I’m trying to attract are executive directors and Board members of locally-based nonprofits, including associations, with small staffs (1-4) and small budgets. These are all folks who live, eat and breathe Steamboat, who want to make the community a better place through nonprofit stewardship. They are typically very educated and know what they want but may not know exactly how to get there.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Since this is a new business, I’m open to all ideas re: a logo. Steamboat is a ski town with a Western, rustic image, so I thought it might be fun (but not necessary) to somehow weave a mountain or rustic look into the logo or something that is reflective of the Steamboat culture. No skiing images, please. I like clean, classic looks (but not too formal) and fonts that are not flowery or ornate. Some colors I had in mind are navy blue, maroon, forest green, brown/gold, but I’m open to other colors as well -- Just not pastels or neon. I’d prefer the logo to have a white background and maybe stick to two colors. It would be great, but not critical, to have a little icon that could be a favicon.

Thank you everyone for the great ideas so far! I think I'm going to wait for a few more ideas to come in before ranking.
Please don't think you are limited to weaving in a mountain idea or using browns. Honestly, anything goes here!!! I am thinking that I'd like to see all sorts of ideas and colors. Then I can better start to see what elements I like and don't like. Thanks for all of your time!
