Things to communicate through the design
1. Expert
2. Trendy
3. pop-culture
The target audience
People, mostly younger, who want to learn to sing. Logo should appeal to younger people, 18-32, who also lead an active night life.
We like these fonts, colors and style
A nice guideline would be the font and color gradient used for "Mariah" at mariahcarey.com. Again, only a guideline and we're completely open to something different. Surprise us! :)
We're looking for something semi-corporate looking but not cartoony. Think of what a logo for a female pop star would look like. Music notes and/or an "elvis microphone" are elements that might be included but aren't required.
Must reduce clearly to 409 x 57 (the space on our website.) We'd prefer the image to have a transparent background because the website backgroud color isn't fully decided yet but it's possible it will be the background attached in this order.
Thanks!
Our design will be used on
(Web) (Print Media) (Mugs & Tshirts)

Please disregard the background color suggestion/attachment. Thanks.
I'd like to more clearly define my audience and the image I want to project with my logo. I give voice lessons and vocal coaching. Although I do coach people who want so sing in their church choirs, most of my students want to learn to sing pop, rock, R&B, hip hop, etc. and that is the image I want the logo to project - young and energetic with a hint of 'corporate professionalism.'
Thanks for the great entries so far. I'd like to point out that the elements I listed (microphone, music notes) aren't a requirement. I know everyone here are creative geniuses so please don't feel confined by anything. Thanks!
