Vision

Asset Management and maintenance are of strategic importance for the competitiveness and sustainable operation of enterprises and institutions.
The professional management and maintenance of physical assets such as machinery, devices, buildings and other infrastructures, improves reliability and increases safety. All this makes a huge contribution to sustainable economic prosperity, the protection of people and the environment, and finally the quality of life of all.


Mission

BEMAS seeks to help its members on the path to continuously improve maintenance and management of physical assets.

BEMAS accomplishes this by:
• Creating and operating of a professional network around asset management and maintenance;
• Providing a forum where members come together to share knowledge and experiences;
• Disseminating best practices and other knowledge on asset management and maintenance;
• Organising quality training, conferences, seminars, events, company visits and fair visits on asset management and maintenance;
• Publishing information on asset management and maintenance through a variety of communication channels;
• Establishing working groups on specific themes and topics in the field of asset management and maintenance;
• Stimulating innovation and actively participate in research in the field of asset management and maintenance;
• Undertaking targeted actions to improve the image of professional asset management and maintenance and to get these areas better known to the general public;
• Encouraging young people to choose for an education and a job in maintenance or;
• Lobbying towards decision makers and policy makers;
• Striving for the recognition of the professions in maintenance and asset management;
• Setting up and managing a certification system in the field of asset management and maintenance;
• Maintaining relationships with similar organizations at home and abroad and undertake activities with them;
• Representing the Belgian intersectoral maintenance community as a spokesman and envoy at regional, national and international levels.
