What we do
We brew American-made craft beers. We take great pride in our story, and the name of our company stems first from the founder of the modern game of baseball, Alexander Joy Cartwright, author of the "Knickerbocker Rules" of baseball. We also want to capitalize on the resurgence of "Knickerbocker Beer" as a true craft ale (we own the TM for Knickerbocker Beer and Knickerbocker Rules IPA - our first brew). We also envision a "Sandlot Summer Ale" and other plays on the word "Rules" - we love the old-style baseball uniforms, hats, and traditions. Most of all, we love beer.

The target audience
21 and over, people that love baseball and beer and especially, craft ales that exceed 6% ABV. People that love the movies Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, and the Sandlot. People that love New Belgium Beer, Dogfish Head. People that LOVE old-school, nostalgia, Americana, and the simplicity of a bygone era where there were no cellphones or email, just baseball and summer.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Nantucket Brewing Company, Great Divide Brewing Company, Fat Tire (New Brewing Company), Federal Jacks (Kennebunkport), all things Red Sox...and Yankees (that's Graham, he's our umpire). The style must be reminiscent of a nostalgia, old time baseball, yet --- must be simple and clean, like the best logos in the world.

"Euphorically crafted ales for spirited lovers of the game." While we want to convey the essence of nostalgia and americana and baseball, we don't necessarily need baseball to be so in your face...while we will have a "Knick Pale Ale" and a "Sandlot Summer", we may also have other "Rules" Branded ales/beers...Rules as the synonym for 'beer'...thanks can't wait to pick a winner and hopefully, the designer will stay with us through our packaging process
