What we do
“It Starts with Soccer” is a non-profit organization that focuses on the development needs of impoverished rural communities in Africa. Our goal is to help break the cycle of poverty. Our mission begins with soccer balls, jerseys, and equipment for the children. We have discovered how soccer clinics and tournaments for kids is an effective way to gather the community at large. So, aside from using soccer as a tool for educating the children, it brings people together and creates a perfect segue way for addressing larger community needs. We then focus our attention on long term projects such as installing water wells and purification systems, providing immunizations and direct medical care, delivering text books, computers and other educational materials, helping with construction and renovation projects – the list goes on.

The target audience
We want to target athletic, medical, educational, outreach communities in general. We are a growing non-profit working to raise money for progressively larger annual projects in Africa.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Our current logo is a soccer ball with the continent of Africa inside it. We use the words "ASSIST", "EDUCATE" AND "EMPOWER" as action words, but we are not married to the idea of keeping what we currently have. We are open to new words or none at all. We currently use the tag-line "tackling poverty in Africa, one community at a time"
