What we do
Sukkah Arbor is an organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan that is holding a design competition for architects, designers, and builders. This creative competition is focused on the creation of a Sukkah- a traditional temporary structure built by Jews every year during a holiday celebration. Sukkahs have been built for centuries in the Jewish tradition, as the practice comes from passages in the Bible and in later Jewish teachings.

Sukkah Arbor is about a re-imagining of the Sukkah, hosting a competition amongst creative design professionals to reach beyond the traditional notions of how these structures are conceived and built. We want to foster an imaginative and fresh rethinking of an ancient practice. Bringing together top name designers and architects and then constructing the winning structures will draw attention to the local Jewish community in Ann Arbor, strengthen its ties, and foster an awareness in the greater community.

Architectural logos typically are very clean, and often times use lines. The logo can be either simply the text presented in a clean, fresh looking way, or adding a graphic that connects what the competition is about, which is Sukkahs! (You will probably have to google sukkahs to learn a little bit about what they are.) Also check out sites like [Login to view URL] and [Login to view URL] to see some clean cut, arhictectural logos.
