The word Fairway was chosen to bring a golf fairway to mind and how keeping the ball in the fairway is the best path to success in golf. In golf you must prepare, have experience, practice, plan your shot and select the right club to hit the fairway and stay out of trouble. Getting the ball in the hole with the least amount of shots. Success in business is similar.
