What we do
The “VERBAND STAHL-, METALL- UND PAPIER-RECYCLING SCHWEIZ" (Swiss Association of Steel, Metall, and Paper Recycling) is the national interest group of the recycling industry of steel, metal, and paper. Our members are privately owned small and medium sized companies, mostly family corporations, with a long standing tradition in recycling. It is organized as private lobbying association.
Our aim is the promotion and maintenance of the private recycling industry in Switzerland. That includes ensuring and representation of our member’s interests at national and international authorities, organisations, associations and other corporations.
Our work focuses mainly on the national and international representation of interests and branch marketing. Our topics and issues are, i.e., "end of waste", transports and logistics, energy, recycling rate.
The name of the association is quite long, we do use it either in German or French. We also use the short version VSMR very often, so a good logo for us would have the VSMR and the full text version combined, so that we could use also just the VSMR and a picture part as short version.

Things to communicate through the design
1. Reliable trade/lobbying association, a good partner, enterpreneurial spirit
2. addressing a very important issue: recycling, sustainabilty, clean technology, handling of secondary resources
3. "We are fresh, quick and efficient "
The target audience
national and international authorities, organizations, associations and other corporations, and of course the media and the public
We like these fonts, colors and style
Rather a fresh font, elegant green color or blue preferred; no need to show the product
We would like to have a picture part (i.e., the recycling sign, or a fantasy logo) and the part VSMR as well as the full text part of our association's name.
