What we do
I am a Australian based financial adviser who works under licence from AMP Financial Planning.
I want a logo (well two actually) that will match in with the AMP style and look. You can check out AMP here (www.amp.com.au) and get a copy of their logo in a few different formats here (https://public.me.com/walker.gary).
The two logos I want are one as Bluefin and the other being the same logo with the accredited by AMP financial Planning as a "footer" to the logo.
The logo will be used in just about any way you can think off but I want something that is clean and easy and does not look like a boring 1950's bank logo.

2. Professional yet I never wear a tie
3. Not a bank

I work with everyday people, not big corporates and target ages 25 to 40

Remember I will need two logos, 1 the logo and the other the logo with the AMP stuff built into it (which I why I am paying $450)!!

Sorry to do this to you all, but AMP yesterday launched a new logo. Talk about shitting me as now it will cost me a fortune in new stationary and the like. I don't even have a copy of the new logo yet but it can be found here.

Looking at the first few submissions just a few comments to help you out.
1. Bluefin is not a fish. The name has come from a mix of Blue the colour (as in the primary colour that AMP uses) and finance.
2. I like the idea of having a catchy logo that will stand out from the word bluefin and could be used by itself. A few examples are:

[Login to view URL] - where the BP flower is more of the logo than BP the name but is often used together

Hi Me again. I don't want the word financial included in the logo.

Hi again. During the contest I will keep ranking logos and I will keep only one page of elements I like and rankings. Just because I have marked an item as not interested does not mean I don't like your work, simply there are betters out there.
As of about 24 hours from now I will be wiping out anything that has the words financial so don't included it.
