What we do
Taylor Newberry Consulting (TNC) brings a combined 35 years experience working in the non-profit sector with numerous social service, community, philanthropic and government organizations. We have conducted over 100 community based research and evaluation projects. Our projects have ranged from small local program evaluations to large and complex national initiatives.

At TNC, Jason and Andrew work together closely on a small number of projects. We aim to form strong and rewarding relationships with the organizations and communities with whom we work. As founders of TNC, we are always directly involved with our clients and all aspects of the work. We are just as interested in small consultations and projects as we are with large and complex initiatives. We have the capacity and experience to engage in both.

Our many years of experience as consultants doing community based, real-world work are complemented by our comprehensive backgrounds in academic research and theory in the social sciences. Our interests are broad, but we are acutely interested in innovative and progressive ways to address important social concerns and inequalities. We believe there are exciting new ways to be strategic and evidence based in order to produce positive changes in organizations, systems, and communities.

At TNC, we see our communication skills as being just as important as our technical research skills. In our experience, research is most useful when the people it concerns help to form the research agenda and contribute to the action plan.
Industry: Non-Profit

Things to communicate through the design
1. Collaboration
2. Holistic approach to issues
3. The creation of useful information

The target audience
Non profit community organizations and government/other funders of non-profits in the social service sector -- who are in need research and program evaluation services, organizational capacity building, community development, education, etc.

We like these fonts, colors and style
We originally self-designed a logo of 3 concentric ovals (egg shaped) -- this reflected what we call an ecological model, where a person is at the centre surrounded by family/work/school, and again surrounded by community, the greater environment. We thought it was fairly simple idea that expressed alot. but we are not wedded to this idea and want to explore other ideas.

We don't want brash or bright colours. We want something simple, friendly. We do not necessarily need a logo with our acronym. It could just be an image next to the company name Taylor Newberry Consulting or next to TNC.

Our design will be used on
(Web)  (Print Media)

A few suggestions for any last minute submissions:

Taylor and Newberry are equal partners, so a logo that features a "T" won't work for us.

We are leaning towards a logo linked to our full name, as opposed to the acronym "TNC."

Some of the submissions we have received to date look a bit generic, and less distinctive. We have not ranked highly logos that use the "atom" motif, for example.
