What we do
A themed restaurant that not only serves great food but entertains all ages. Two main areas are a pirate ship and a castle area.

Things to communicate through the design
1. A fun entertaing place for the whole family to eat
2. the 2 main characters boo (a ghost) and his crazy friend Bones (a crazy skeleton) who happens to be a pirate - they can't be scary think disney
3. Boo and Bones will mostly be white so we need the text to really jump out with some use of the color red
The target audience
We want it to appeal to kids as well as adults. It cannot look to childish and should have a professional look that still appeals to kids. We want to be able to market these two characters Boo & Bones (Kind of like Tom & Jerry) Boo is the voice of reason but Bones is crazy, and out of control like the refrence pictures. These characters will appear on shirts, cups and all merchandise.
We like these fonts, colors and style
We definately do not want a boring font but at the same time not scary. The restaurant will be like a fantasy inside so we want that carried over into the logo. In some ways we like some aspects of the Rainforest cafe logo how they used their characters. We want red in the logo maybe something that would look good on a highway sign.
What we like about the character skeleton in the image we sent is his crazy fun look as well as his oversized head, he is extremely close to what we want. Boo should not be scary and is much smarter that Bones and they have a somewhat Adversarial relationship think Tom & Jerry cartoon.
