Name On Logo: Piece Pipes

Piece Pipes is a product brand of a high-quality modular water-pipe system (also known as hookah, shisha, or tobacco pipes). These pipes come in "pieces" which can be used independently or *magnetically* connected to others to build a larger/more efficient unit. A render of the exact product will be provided so designers can have a better concept of the product. Piece Pipes brand is owned by Mµse (Magnetically µniting Smokers Everywhere). Mµse wants to represent the social unification of smokers and provide them with the best possible smoking experience through our product line. The ability to include both names into the logo is not necessary and "Piece Pipes" should be considered first, but designs that incorporate e.g. "by Mµse" can be accepted.

Our demographic covers a large range of customers, and the logo should apply to this large range. However, our customers are considered "average" in many ways; age, gender, income, occupation, education should not limit the design. Our customers 'should' be of legal smoking age. We do NOT want to portray negative stereotypes of our customers in any way. This means do not imagine our customers as "hippies", but as normal/average people who enjoy the smoking experience and they enjoy their lifestyle, interests and activities while under the smoke's effects.

We want a clean image which can be used across a wide range of applications; including on the product itself, its' packaging, website, T-shirts and vehicles.
A logo in which a small color change could allow for slight customer customization would be great on designs which use few colors, if any. Do not limit your designs to this specification as the use of many colors has not been experimented with.
Legibility is important.
A few images of the company's business cards which we have mocked up is provided (which you should also not limit yourself to as new ideas are very encouraged here, e.g. a dark color scheme is not required) a shield/crest to help represent quality, and a fleur de lis to represent our home city (Louisville,Ky USA).

I thought this might be a good time to provide an update / additional things I would like to see in future entries.

Perhaps a brief further discussion of the product will provide some direction. Some advantages Piecepipes have over the competition are:
a) Extreme durability. Piece Pipes bongs / hookahs are made of premium-grade engineering thermoplastic (PFA, for those who want to know). As such they are far more durable than glass or acrylic pieces, without sacrificing aesthetic brilliance or clarity.
b) Easy to clean. PFA is better known by its DuPont tradename, Teflon. The high chemical resistance of this material make it very slippery and easy to clean. PFA is dishwasher-friendly, and can be placed in boiling water or alcohol solution safely. Also, the modularity of the pieces makes it quite easy to disconnect them, wash them, fill them with fresh water, and use again.
c) Connectivity. Users can connect their pieces simply (magnetically) with a friend's pieces, and build a water pipe / bong together which filters more efficiently and is easier on the lungs.
d) Health. Piece Pipes are scientifically designed to maximize water diffusion, which means higher-purity smoke is delivered to the lungs.

So, naturally any logo designs which manage to incorporate some or all of the product's strong points will have an advantage over those that do not. I believe the contest winner will be the logo which cleverly or convincingly conveys that Piecepipes bongs / hookahs are durable, user-friendly, clean, socially connective ('a social magnet'! Sorry, I couldn't resist the obvious pun), and a healthy smoking option (that is to say, healthier than smoking unfiltered or through other brands of water filters / bongs - a vaporizer will always be the healthiest option).
