Name On Logo: FlatVisa Madrid
Our Slogan
My flat, right here, right now.
What we do
Flatvisa Madrid helps students to find a flat before arriving in Madrid.
Our quality flats are all centrally located, between universities and the city center, furnished, all included to make the student’s life easier.
Flatvisa acts as an intermediary between landlords and students, managing everything for landlords and then being the only contact for students.
FlatVisa is not a listing web – you book and pay your rent to FlatVisa directly, not to the landlord, a bit like with airbnb (see website

The main differenciating factor for FlatVisa is the fact of providing foreigners the opportunity to get a flat from a trustworthy source before arriving in Madrid.
Industry: Real Estate
Things to communicate through the design
1. Trust
2. Simple - Easy
3. International
The target audience
Students (undergrad, masters, MBA) with at least 500 a month (middle to upper class depending on the developped country) to spend on rent, from universities all over the world, coming to Madrid for a semester or 2.
Main countries of origin: France, Italy, UK, US, Mexico, Germany, other Northern European Countries.
Customers must be web oriented, interested in simple solutions, and the logo must convey FlatVisa is a trustworthy source.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Illustration with the name “FlatVisa” next to it, with the slogan underneath the name. Madrid on the side as an add-on - it should be included in the logo, but still leave margin for future other city names and changes.
Landscape layout.
“Flat” emphasised before “Visa”, F and V as capital letters. "Flat" and "Visa" with different fonts maybe, something modern and elegant.
The colours should be the following:
• Main colour: Orange – #FF640A (yes, the idea we want to convey through this colour is something similar to ING Direct kind)
• Secondary colours: White as major secundary colour, Very light Greys and Dark profesional Blue - #0F243E - for some minor details
• The logo should simple, can be described quite precisely in a few words, memorable.
• Background has to white.
• Rounded edges
• We want our look to be modern, elegant and sophisticated (nothing with too obvious houses, buildings…)
• It should be surrounded by a margin
• The whole logo, illustration + name + slogan, should be rectangular
• It should be “2.0” – look at fontfeed.com/archives/the-logos-of-web-20 and

I would like not to see a house, or a too complicated logo, nor nothing too typically spanish.
So the focus isn’t about searching
Should not feel like easyjet or some other too “low cost” company – the orange is there to reinforce the modern and easy but still quality service – more like ING, Bankinter, SpanAir
In fact, I would rather like it to be different from competitors:
Our design will be used on

THE COLOURS:
I leave all freedom for creativity and suggesting original shapes and logos, but please do use the colours indicated in the brief:
- ORANGE - MAIN COLOUR - #FF640A
- BLUE - SECUNDARY - #0F243E (should really be secundary compared to orange)
- Grey and white for details
And keep it simple!
WEB 2.0 STYLE:
Please do have a look to this site for great examples of "2.0" logos to get the grasp of the style I'm lookinng for:

--> This means round shapes, shades, 3d outlines, original but serious fonts.
FOCUS ON "FLATVISA MADRID" AND LESS ON LOGO:
I guess one direction to take could be to simplify the "symbolic image" part of the logo (the houses, city scapes), make it memorable, not too "real estate" or "madrid" obvious, and stress more the "font & letters" of the company name part of the logo.
DIFFERENCIATE SLIGHTLY FLATVISA AND MADRID, AND ALSO FLAT FROM VISA:
- FlatVisa should be slightly different than Madrid - Madrid should not be nearly on the same level of importance as "FlatVisa"
- Flat and Visa should have similar fonts and style, but still more emphasis has to be put of Flat.
I hope this helps ! Keep on the great work!
