What we do
The Big Facepage is a non profit organization that I (an unemployed father) set up to help my 10 year old son donate $1 Million Dollars to the wounded United States Armed Forces Members on 11.11.11. I cashed in my 401k to fund an iPhone and Android application that will allow us to reach the goal I have set. If this campaign takes off virally (and it will) we are talking perhaps $10 Million Dollars in 3 weeks. There is no guarantee of that, but this WILL be a national story so a good logo is a necessity. I already designed a logo that we are using temporarily and it can be viewed on our homepage.
[Login to view URL] (the yellow ribbon can be incorporated into your logo design, but I would like to see ideas WITH and WITHOUT the ribbon) I may use the ribbon on the logo for the website, but not on business cards and letterheads. (But we might also). I really like the digital camo background, so I would like to see logos with that. Also, as you can see, it has a playfulness, yet seriousness. Our target audience will be the social media crowd that supports our Soldiers, so the logo MUST evoke feelings of social networking, but must also be reverent in respect of the wounded members of the Armed Forces. If your logo is chosen over the one we are using, it could be seen on a website that has the potential for
10 million unique hits per week.
Industry: Non-Profit
Things to communicate through the design
1. The US Military Camo pattern with Militiary feel
2. Reverent yet playful text that is not comical, but warm and friendly and shows respect.
3. Evoke feelings of Social Media websites without directly copying them.
The target audience
Every one in the world that supports the United States Military's troops. Mothers, Sons, college students, teachers, professionals, Middle America, hometown good people and people from all walks of life that have caring and giving attitudes.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Military Theme with Digital Camoflauge Pattern as a background. NO SQUARE logos please. (we may have variations that are square later) We would like something that would be more rectangular in nature horizontally. (similiar to our initial logo). Letters outlined in army green (like our current logo) would be appreciated if they can
be done in a nice fashion. We would like to see logos with "The Big Facepage" and "The Big FacePage"
Our design will be used on
(Web) (Print Media) (Billboards & Signs) (Television) (Mugs & Tshirts)
Additional Info Added Feb 27, 2011
Please re-read the requirements. I haven't seen the SPECIFIC DIGITAL United States Armed Forces camouflage pattern that is in the logo that I created myself. Please realize that I LOVE the logo that I designed, so in order for me to consider yours, I must be completely blown away by it's greatness. Please be sure that the logos that you are submitting are better than I could create for myself. While I certainly appreciate the efforts of all that have submitted, I am looking for the logo that truly makes me think that the logo that I created and love, is ugly.
Make sense? Keep up the good work.
Thank you
*UPDATE*
I am still not seeing anything that makes me want to drop the logo that I created. I am still in first place. :)
Really show me something that WOWs me!
I appreciate all of the efforts of these wonderful artists. Keep them coming!
** everyone is submitting dogtags and it gives me an idea. What if we use two dogtags slightly overlapping with THE on one and BIG with facepage under it.
