What we do
We're a nonprofit organization. We provide small, one-time grants to 2 types of people: The first type is hardworking people who are faced with unexpected, emergency expenses & who cannot afford to pay their bill. These are people who normally pay all their bills on time & who work.
The second type is people transitioning back into society after incarceration or drug/alchohol rehab and who need a payment made to stay on track. These pymts would be like pymt to a probation officer, rent for a sober-living facility, etc.
All payments are paid directly to the merchant and not to the applicant.
Industry: Non-Profit
Things to communicate through the design
1. Professional
2. Human touch
3. Capable & well-established
The target audience
We have 2 target audiences:
1. Hard-working people who are looking for help as a last resort
2. Potential donors who see our agency as a viable candidate for a donation
We like these fonts, colors and style
Here are 3 logos that I like:
Gaia Baby Food (www.gaiababyfood.com)
Ronald McDonald House (www.rmhc.org)
Cafe Give (www.cafegive.com)
They all look professional, but have a human look to it also. I don't want a logo that is so professional that it looks "techie". I also don't want one that is very rigid.
I'm flexible on the color. I do like the idea of a green being in the logo (because I think green goes well with nonprofit).
I also would like to see an image portraying "taking a step". This image could be a foot, a stepping stone, or a staircase. The image we currently have is a foot and we do prefer the foot over all other "stepping" images. But it's not necessary.
