What we do
This is a 20 year+ established restaurant situated on the beach, in a calm bay, on the Caribbean.
The restaurant has recently added an executive chef. The menu ranges from prime rib, seafood and Mexican food, all prepared elegantly with a high end wine list. Some items are prepared table side such as ceviche, guacamole, shrimp dishes and flaming coffees.
Tiki torches adorn the perimeters of the outdoor dining section.
"Lol Ha" means "Water Lilly" in the Mayan language. The Lilly should be in the logo, but not the focus of the logo.

The target audience
Vacationers looking for the best place to eat in a small resort village. Mostly American and Canadian clients returning to the area every year as well as house and condo owners returning 3 or 4 times per year for extended stays. Mostly couples in their 50/60's sharing time with the 20-30 year old children. Active people diving, snorkeling, fishing and others just sun bathing and relaxing while getting out of the cold weather.
We like these fonts, colors and style
We really do not have any favorites. We would like to see fresh ideas without influencing the artists of our likes and dislikes. The current logo is attached, but we do not see it actually saying anything or sending a message.
Also attached is a day and night photo of the dining areas so you can see the setting of the restaurant. Many Corona beer commercials have been filmed on this beach. There is a webcam on the corner of the restaurant that shoots live images of the beach every ten seconds. This should give you a feel of the setting.

Designers...............Please do not overlook the fact that the Lol Ha has an Executive Chef, the #1 message.
One idea we had was to have a faceless/handless figure in a Chefs jacket and a Toque serving a Lilly on a plate. This may be very elementary and have no merit, but wondering if your creative side could make this image idea look professional?
