What we do
We're a pub and restaurant in Colorado that serves a large selection of Colorado microbrews. We're looking at expansion through the state and we love to celebrate all that is Colorado, including the mountains, streams, and wildlife.
Wapiti is the Shawnee Native American word for Elk.
Our menu includes Wapiti (elk), buffalo, trout, some other game meat specials, as well as lots of great fresh food. Our main claim to food fame is our big fresh burgers. We're also using all the Colorado products that we can for food, drink, and other supplies.
We're still working on a tag-line. Some of the words we're playing with are: legendary, cuisine, casual, educate, enlighten, learn, refresh, superior, perfect, hospitality, and service. If you have an idea based on what you see, please put it in with your logo.

The target audience
The first - and only, currently - pub is in Estes Park, gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We're probably more restaurant than pub, as we're known for our food, but we do try for a family friendly adult atmosphere. We get a lot of tourists from 25 to 75 including a lot of young families. As for the local market, we have a lot of 45 to 65. A few more men than women, but mostly couples that have kids out of the house. The second location that we're looking into will be about the same 45 to 65, mostly couples. For some day parts, we'll have a lot more men because of a close by golf course.
Most of our current guests come for the great food, drinks, and interaction with the staff. We're slightly more expensive than some other places in town, but the quality of the product and experience is far above what other's can and do provide.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The new logo should have an elk or elk head in it. It could be silhouette, line, whole, part, or something else completely. We also think the mountains would be a great part. And the Colorado flag, or elements of it would be welcome, but not necessary. I'll try to provide lots of comments and feedback to we can adjust course to get to the best logo.
Font and style - probably skew masculine, but I'm pretty open to ideas. I like line logos, but again, I'm not set on one. There's a lot to 'say' in this logo, so it might need more than that. Or, a part could be line drawn and used on it's own later or on other things like apparel.
Colors - currently, maroon / dark red, dark brown, and tan we're also thinking about adding in dark blue from the Colorado flag.
We'd like to have the logo be usable for everything from signs to stitching on shirts to possible glassware etching. Again, we're very open to ideas, the current logo is a solid elk head with the word Wapiti. It was okay when we opened, but we've out grown it as a brand and want to reflect more of what we're about going forward.
