Name On Logo: Go BIG Gear

Go BIG Gear is a new youth brand that delivers inspirational messages through clothing & gear. The brand will be living and breathing in the action sports/surf/skate lifestyle segment and will be initially focused on 6-10 year old kids. The logo will be our flagship logo used on our website, print marketing materials and strategically on products, T-shirts etc. It must be in high-res with the ability to use in different sizes including a poster. I'm looking for a nice blend of professional/cool/classy with of course a youth appeal. My initial thought is to use Go BIG on the top line and Gear extend along the entire 2nd line underscoring Go BIG - I would be very interesting in adding a cartoonish monkey dangling off the right or left side to give it kid appeal and of course anything that signifies going BIG in life is our message. My initial color thoughts are a nice grey with neon green, black and maybe one other accent color - I'm open to your ideas. I look forward to seeing what you have creatively. Lastly, think a blend of Oakley, Nike and Quicksilver/Hurley but focused on youth with the "monkey" added for fun and youth appeal. Thanks in advance!

Our audience breaks down as follows - the brand will be focused on kids 6-10 but the parents will be the one's making the purchase decision. So we want to appeal to the kids but not be corny or too kiddish - we have to be very cool to parents of 6-10 year olds - generally, 25-35 year olds. So a youth version of Hurley/Quicksilver/Body Glove etc. is the type of logo we are looking for.

I love almost everything Oakley does - Vans is also a good brand for the surf/skate genre - I like the idea of grey/black/white with a neon green accent color - perhaps the monkey being the neon green and then the same accent within the words tying it together - the monkey should be creatively dangling/climbing off the side of the BIG word and extending down with the legs on the Gear word below - would be cool to have the monkey being a blend of neon green//brown & grey and the words being grey,black/white with a neon green accent. Monkey should be substantial as it will grab the kids attention to the phrase which describe the message of our gear.
