What we do
Aquarium Neptune is a secondary site for MARATA, the Marine and Reef Aquarium Technicians of America. (MARATA's site is here: marata.org)
Aquarium Neptune is the site where we show off the best professionally maintained marine aquariums around. This site's secondary purpose is to teach consumers about saltwater aquariums and what's involved in owning them.

Things to communicate through the design
1. The beauty of a Coral Reef and Saltwater Fish aquarium
2. Professionalism: this site will emphasize the reliability and expertise of the member's services
3. Openness: The site should be welcoming even to people with no experience in the field.
The target audience
We have two target audiences-
1. Companies and individuals that professionally install and maintain saltwater aquariums.
2. People, individuals, institutions who are interested in owning an aquarium maintained by the companies mentioned above.
We like these fonts, colors and style
aquariumneptune.org is a site owned and operated by marata.org. We love our MARATA logo and given the relationship between the two sites, it would be best if the Aquarium Neptune logo called to mind MARATA's logo. Similar or complimentary colors, fonts etc. would be good.
Somehow incorporating the MARATA logo directly into the new logo is also a possibility.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We'd like to be able to use this new logo directly as the title banner for the website. So a longer, shorter design would probably work best.
