Our Slogan
Find Your Power
What we do
Bia Sport provides fitness and training tools for women. Bia enables women to set and achieve their fitness, weight loss and racing goals, with tracking tools, information, and a supportive community that encourages them to be accountable to each other and themselves.
Our offering will consist of 1.) online and mobile applications, 2.) an online community and content site, and 3.) a female-centric sports watch.
Bia women know that fitness and athletic achievement is not just an activity, but a way of life that translates into them being the best they can be in all facets of their life.
We are geared towards women who are goal and progress driven in their life and apply it to their health. While we provide a strong set of tools, Bia is really about shared accomplishments and encouragement to compete against yourself and for yourself regardless of if you are:
a.) looking to turn your 10 miles of weekly running into your first half marathon with your best girl-friend.
b.) celebrating a milestone birthday by dropping 15 pounds and doing a summer’s worth of triathlons
c.) an age grouper who may never podium but with sites on a new Half Ironman Personal Record
Other items to consider: Bia is the Greek goddess of Force and Power. She was also Nike’s sister.
Industry: Sports & Recreation
Things to communicate through the design
1. Power
2. Achievement
3. Celebration
The target audience
Women 29-48 with disposable income who....
1. consider themselves athletes or aspire to unlock their inner athlete
2. are relatively active already and want to push their fitness to the next level by managing their nutrition and weight goals, running their first race or hitting a new personal record.
3. consider their exercise time, the "me" time they deserve and need to be the best that they can be in all facets of their life.
We like these fonts, colors and style
We would like to see logos with and without the tagline.
1. Nothing that is sterotypical female (soft pinks or purples) or looks like its off of a tampon box.
2. No turquoise
3. While we want a signature color to go with our branding, we also need an icon element of the logo where the icon is distinguishable/unique that can be used on it's own (think the Nike swoosh).
4. The icon element needs to be recognizable so that two women running - one with a Bia waterbottle, and the other with a Bia hat - easily identify themselves as part of the same "club" [or cult or sisterhood] and high-five each other.
Our design will be used on

Additional Info Added Jan 8, 2011
(from Jan 6th) We want something more fun. Some of these are a little too butch.
(from Jan 6th) None of them really have a universally recognizable iconic element that can be used on it's own in black or white without the Bia name, which is important.
Please no female signs or lightening bolts.
(from Jan 8th) Please do not use a lower-case b in Bia.
