What we do
Under the company we work for, we provide the money to purchase and refinance home loans (homes, investment properties, etc.) for middle to upper class family oriented people located in Maryland as well as investors looking to expand their portfolio of investment properties. Currently, we originate home loans for the largest privately held mortgage company in the U.S. (MMI, inc.)
This logo (MDLenders.com) will be the publicly advertised site that clients and potential clients visit (the MDLenders.com address will lead people to gabrielbensimon.com site. Will eventually need a logo for gabrielbensimon.com site).

Things to communicate through the design
1. Class/Integrity - to deliver what is promised/keep our word
2. Competence/Efficiency/Solid Work Ethic - to get the potentially complicated loan done and done efficiently.
3. Seriousness/Trust - that I will take care of the client from start to finish and work in their best interest. Serious about their money and the most expensive purchase they'll make.
The target audience
Age & Sex: Target audience is primarily Married individuals aged 25-45 (up to 65), who wish to buy or refinance large single family homes with incomes of $90K and up. Secondary Target group includes singles and investors looking to start or expand on investment property portfolios. Last target group is realtors. This group is on the very bottom of the list.
Location: Properties located primarily in the state of Maryland. Very secondary locations would be neighboring states of VA/DC. Possible use of the Maryland flag >>(http://www.msa.md.gov/msa/mdmanual/01glance/html/symbols/flag.html) Will leave that to the designers initially.
Education & Occupation: College Graduates and higher (Masters, etc.) and/or self employed individuals.
Lifestyle: Family oriented people...people with high integrity and loyalty, organized.
Interests: Having a good time while being responsible and conservative at the same time.
Opinions: Laid back, easygoing.
We like these fonts, colors and style
Bold, 3 dimensional/depth design, visible from "afar", colors that will look good on white backgrounds (complementary colors??) with a classic and elegant style. Looking for a polished look but also noticeable and very professional looking.

other than the "simple" house. Perhaps a more luxurious looking house would give off a different image?
Also liked one of the winners for the IGB company (was a brick house with the letters I, G, B under neath. The house though looked very basic. Can't locate that project right now.
