Our site is
[Login to view URL] This effort is just for the 3dB part of our logo. We don't need to include the tagline or full name in the work we are asking for.
We also want to keep the "d" lower case, and the "B" uppercase. (that makes it more consistent with our domain name 3dBoys.US)

Things to communicate through the design
1. The site was the idea of two 14 year old boys.
2. We will be selling a wide range of 3d printed products
3. We want something that looks good in color, but also in monochrome.
The target audience
We will have specific products or kits that target specific audiences, but this logo is for the "entire" site. It should just be something that becomes easily recognizable and would be immediately obvious if you saw it on a coffee mug (after you have seen it somewhere else before)
We like these fonts, colors and style
We are open on which font will work. For colors, we want to stay with mostly blue but if another color helps something stand out, we are open to that.
We don't want color to be the only thing that differentiates the letters. Whatever we come up with needs to be something where the letters would be distinguishable even if printed in one color on a coffee mug.
I will upload a couple images that may help. The one is to make clear that we are just wanting the "three letters" as part of the logo, not to include our domain name.
The other pic is what we created on the whiteboard to try and get close to what we are looking for. We want the 3, the d, and B to overlay each other somehow that looks good. Our best guess is the one with the green circle. We are thinking if the "d" is fatter, that may help, but we don't really know.
