What we do
The main emphasis of Sacred Sites Research is to record North American pictograph and petroglyph sites, which are recognized as traditional cultural properties or sacred sites by Indians. This involves creating photographs, artistic renderings and written documentation for these sites that will be available for use by American Indians and the public. In addition, we educate the public regarding the significance of these sites and methods for their protection.
Industry: Non-Profit

Things to communicate through the design
1. Ancient
2. Preserve
3. Experienced

The target audience
Federal land-management agency archaeologists;
Organizations that provide grants for recording archaeological sites;
Private landowners such as ranchers whose land contains archaeological sites.

We like these fonts, colors and style
Sacred Sites does not want a logo that uses a sacred petroglyph or pictograph. We think that an American Indian symbol such as a buffalo skull (stylized or realistic), or a generic image like a handprint or prints would be more appropriate, or let your imagination work for us to make a great logo. The logo can be in two or three colors but we should be able to print it in black and white.

We have uploaded an actual ancient buffalo skull, found by Sacred Sites personnel, that hangs on an office wall and another showing handprints on a canyon wall in the American southwest.
