What we do
Blackhawk a private golf facility just outside of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are currently ranked as the 15th best golf course in the country by Score Golf magazine. We are looking for a logo for our new Member/Guest event called "Rule the Roost". This is a Match Play format with one eventual champion "Ruling the Roost". The name obviously has bird connotations, and the individual divisions within the contest will be named after birds of prey.

Things to communicate through the design
1. We think we'd like a relatively simple logo, similar to the styles of the Cabot brand
2. A proud looking Hawk sitting atop a simple perch is a great starting point
3. The bird should perhaps look proud and regal. We'd like the text to be optional.
The target audience
The logo is to be used for a flagship Club event. We are a high-end private club with relatively wealthy clientele. The logo will largely just be seen by our members and their invited guests. The logo will be put on merchandise.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I think we would just like it to tie into our normal club colors - black and gold. Font's should compliment our existing ones. The Sanctuary logo attached was a winning logo from this site that was used for our Short Course that was created 5 years ago.
