What we do
Eskasoni Marine Services provides complete end-of-life ship management services to commercial and government clients (recycles large ships like freighters, ferries, warships etc).

The company is 100% indigenous owned. The Mi'kmaq are a First Nations people, indigenous to Canada's Atlantic Provinces, primarily Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.

We invite the artists to incorporate a First Nations / Indigenous / Tribal theme into the logo. One particular symbol prevalent to the Eskasoni First Nations is the 8-pointed star (see image). It comes in different forms and doesn't necessarily have a specific colour, so the artists can get creative with it.

Also attached is the image of the horizontal Red Cross. This is the Mi'kmaq Flag. Artists are encouraged to transform this symbol into a ship-like image.

Lastly, the traditional First Nations symbol of the dream catcher. This could also be incorporated into the "O" of Eskasoni, etc.

We are open to any logos that include "Eskasoni Marine Services" with incorporation of at least one of the symbolic logos of the First Nations people.

The company prides itself on being an environmentally focused ship recycler in an arena where that's not always the case. The environmental focus / commitment of this company is what sets it apart.

The company has two ship recycling yards that provide ship recycling services in North America. One on the Great Lakes in southern Ontario, Canada where it primarily recycles great lake freighters. The other recycling facility is on the east coast of Canada. That yard recycles ocean going cargo ships, as well as warships.

The company also provides consultation services to other ship recycling yards, governments and commercial fleet owners around the world.
