What we do
We are creating a new branding for our Living Landscapes HD programs. These are high definition beauty nature programs with natural sound and music - no narration. They are meant for meditation, beautiful backgrounds on your HDTV, nature enjoyment, etc. We are starting with this design for the Roku IPTV box and will use it for Apple and Android Apps also.

1. Name recognition

3. Simple and clean so it can be used across platforms for Apps too
The target audience
All. This logo will be seen on our Roku channel as well as in App stores, American Airlines in-flight programing, website and other places that we will promote the channels we create. People interested in nature, travel, ambient entertainment, meditation, etc. It has to be simple as in the look and feel of an App and yet convey the idea of a picture window on the world of nature and beauty.
We like these fonts, colors and style
I'll up-load some images so you can see what we are playing with. Can't use the gold National Geo window turned sideways because they'll defend it but we can use a different color in our horizontal window like say a darker green or deep brown. We want the window idea with the word Window above and Nature below we think. And the .tv would be smaller and in the lower right corner. We like the idea of actually using a real picture of mountains or something simple that reads 'nature' as in the examples. But...very open to ideas too.
It has to 'read' instantaneously. Duh!
The square needs to be maintained for Apps as well as our current project the Roku box.
We will want the raw materials as we'll also have to elongate (make it taller) the image to be roughly the shape of a VHS box or a DVD, though that is a bit fat for the uses we'll need. We could possibly pay the winning developer a bit extra to extend the frame if need be too.
