What we do
Apartment Trust of America, Inc., is an investment product known as a Real Estate Investment Trust, or "REIT." This REIT buys high-end apartment communities throughout the United States. These apartments can be either single-story or multi-story structures.

The target audience
As this is an investment, the audience will be potential investors as well as sophisticated financial advisors. They are all U.S. based, and are mostly successful, high net worth individuals.
We like these fonts, colors and style
First, the color pallet...you don't have to use all 5 of the colors, just select the ones you feel will work best:
- TOYO 0564 (C=3, M=15, Y=20, K=0)
- Green (C=25, M=3, Y=100, K=14)
- Pantone 7413C (C=0, M=53, Y=100, K=4)
- Red/Brown (C=19, M=75, Y=74, K=58)
- Warm Grey (C=17, M=30, Y=45, K=38)
I would like the logo (symbol and type) to be in a horizontal configuration. Also, while you are welcome (if you want) to bring in the various artifacts and/or adornments relating to apartments into your design, please remember that the overall feel needs to connote the financial strength of the investment, and thus should not in any way appear whimsical, or "edgy" in terms of style.
I'd suggest looking at wine labels for inspiration. I tend to lean in this direction in terms of the professional, cohesive style and designs they present. If you can translate that look in terms of this investment, then I think you will be heading in the right direction.
Please do not present logos that have the American Flag, or the American Flag colors, or the stars and stripes theme. Also I would also shy away from anything that looks like houses, or symbols that look like dingbats.

Let me elaborate a little bit more so as to provide some perimeters. The apartment communities we acquire are never more than 4-stories tall, so please do not draw logos with buildings that look like high-rise/skyscraper-type structures.
