What we do
Secret Ingredient is a holding company through which I route all my food related businesses & consultancies.

During the course of next year, it will include an exclusive fine dining / molecular restaurant, a small chain of south east asian cafe's, a catering company (Yes, I will be needing more logo's soon!), and various food consultancy contracts.
Industry: Restaurant

Things to communicate through the design
1. High End / Professional
2. Contemporary / Modern
3. Clever / Edgy

The target audience
Sophisticated diners / Food enthusiasts / Clients looking for a trusted professional to help them create a menu, or food concept for their restaurant.

We like these fonts, colors and style
1. Not too busy or overly complicated.
2. Background - grey / charcoal / off white / beige.
3. This is not a must, just an idea - Possibly something that is holding what looks like a secret ingredient? Perhaps a spoon with silver / gold / powder / colorful liquid?
4. Any other clever logo associated with a secret ingredient.
5. The primary use of the logo will be for my business cards.

Our design will be used on
(Web)  (Print Media)  (Mugs & Tshirts)

Additional Info Added Dec 11, 2010
Thanks for all the entries so far, and in advance for those to come! Some additional thoughts:
1. Fonts should be clean cut / contemporary. Nothing cartoon like, or wobbly etc.
2.Apart from the spoon idea, I thought of another possible direction. That is, using a magic potion looking bottle, or a test tube? Almost like an alchemist.
3.Or the name could be written on a dish, or kitchen utensil of some sort.
4.Or instead of a spoon, it could be a ladle or a spatula.
Thanks again for your efforts.

I have added some reference images. What I think would look good, is to create an encased logo, which looks 3D (perhaps with a light shadow), a bit glossy / rich, and combines either a test tube or flask, with a fork or knife or spoon or chef’s hat etc.. Therefore, giving one element of food, with one element of something mysterious / secretive. Preference of colours – blue / green / grey / gold / purple. Out of the images, I particularly like the style of ‘blue tablet icon’.

Again, thank you for all your great entries!

As this contest end, I would just like to thank everyone who submitted entries. I never expected so many brilliant & creative designs, and I look forward to doing this again, when my next venture begins. Thank you so much for your time & efforts!
