What we do
Investors purchase shares of stock, and the company uses the proceeds from the sale to acquire loan debts taken out by small to mid-sized businesses. The goal is to make money for our shareholders. We will also loan money to small to mid-sized businesses to help them grow, or expand. Our company is basically an alternative to a bank that is interested in helping good businesses succeed. We fill the gap where the Big Commercial banks have fallen short.
Industry: Financial & Insurance

Things to communicate through the design
1. Growth (no trees or flowers please)
2. Stability (no pillars please)
3. "Closing a gap", or "bringing together" one entity (us) with another entity (them) with mutual benefit

The target audience
The audience will be financial advisors (those people who help you with your investments) and their clients (you the investor). The target audience tends to be well versed in financial matters and are between 40-60 years of age. They choose to invest with us, because it may "hedge" against a certain "potential volatility" contained in another one of their investments somewhere else.

We like these fonts, colors and style
I like the concept of using line quality and increasing thickness (within the line) to portray growth. In terms of "stability", I just mean this in terms of how the final logo should appear to be able to stand on it's own if one were to produce a 3-D model of it and set it on a table (if it tips over, then it doesn't have visual stability). I lean towards abstract vs. literal in terms of visuals, so I will tend to want to see the concept of "financing success and growth"....

Choose your typeface to go along with your logo....not the other way around. Also, feel free to design a logo concept with the letters "BDCA" if you want. Right now we are thinking of going with Pantone 2695C as our main color (secondary colors are up for grabs)...Though, as always, this logo must function in Black and White as well.

Feel to explore 3-D or 2-D...either one will be okay.

Our design will be used on

It might be nice to see some financial-looking logos. Please look at the American currency for inspiration.
